Tegal, January 13, 2026 — Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Tegal Regency, through the BALA SE2026 program, conducted a socialization of the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) during the APINDO Tegal Regency Member Consolidation meeting. The event was attended by representatives from the Tegal Regency Office of Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services, the Tegal Regency Office of Manpower and Industry, as well as the National Board of APINDO. Participants consisted of business owners who are members of APINDO Tegal Regency.
In his remarks, Chairman of APINDO Tegal Regency, Kiswanto, conveyed information regarding the implementation of SE2026 and invited BPS to provide direct explanations to business actors. He emphasized that SE2026 is a crucial initiative to capture the current condition of the national economy, and therefore entrepreneurs are expected to actively participate by welcoming census officers and voluntarily providing accurate responses.
During the socialization session, Diana Dwi Susanti, Senior Statistician of BPS Tegal Regency, stressed that “high-quality statistics must begin with a high-quality process.” This statement underscored the importance of active involvement from business actors in providing accurate and relevant data.
In the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026), business actors play a highly strategic role in ensuring the availability of quality economic data. This role begins with active participation, either by openly receiving census officers or by independently completing the census questionnaire. Such participation forms a vital foundation for a smooth and efficient data collection process. Furthermore, business actors are expected to provide accurate data, including relevant information on employment, financial conditions, and other aspects covered in SE2026.
Equally important is the role of business actors in coordination and collaboration with census officers, ensuring that the information provided complies with established guidelines and that effective communication is maintained throughout the process. These efforts are reinforced by a commitment to trust, as BPS guarantees the confidentiality of all submitted data, ensuring that business actors feel secure and protected.
Through these four strategic roles, business actors serve not only as respondents but also as key partners in producing high-quality, transparent, and development-oriented economic statistics.
This activity strengthened synergy among BPS, the local government, and the business community. Entrepreneurs in Tegal Regency are positioned not merely as respondents, but as strategic partners in delivering high-quality economic data. With full support from APINDO and strong commitment from business actors, SE2026 is expected to produce an accurate, transparent, and reliable economic portrait to support national development.
