North Sumatra Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Welcomes Courtesy Visit from APINDO Provincial Board

MEDAN – The Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) in North Sumatra welcomed a courtesy visit from the Provincial Executive Board of the Indonesian Employers Association (DPP APINDO) of North Sumatra. The meeting, held on Monday (June 23, 2025), aimed to strengthen relationships and enhance coordination following the institutional transformation of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
The delegation was received by the Head of the Regional Office, Ignatius Mangantar Tua Silalahi, SH., MH, accompanied by the Head of the Legal Services Division, the Head of the General Legal Administration Services Division (AHU), and the Head of the Intellectual Property Services Division.
During the discussion, several strategic issues were raised, particularly concerning support for business actors, the development of the MSME sector, and challenges related to intellectual property rights faced by APINDO members in North Sumatra.
Vice Chairman of DPP APINDO North Sumatra, Ng Pin Pin, expressed appreciation for the warm reception extended by the Kemenkumham North Sumatra leadership. He expressed hope that this coordination would lead to broader collaboration opportunities, especially in legal outreach initiatives, where APINDO has previously contributed as a resource partner.
In response, Head of the Regional Office Ignatius reiterated his commitment to supporting local business development, particularly in the areas of legal administrative services and intellectual property. He emphasized that the Regional Office is open to ongoing dialogue with business actors to address challenges and explore future collaborations.
This engagement is expected to foster long-term synergy between Kemenkumham North Sumatra and APINDO North Sumatra, in promoting economic growth rooted in legal certainty, while reinforcing the critical role of MSMEs as the backbone of the regional economy.
